African Narcos

I am a huge Narcos fan, and having binged the second series and watched it come to a conclusion, I can't help but feel slightly lost without my Colombian Spanish fix. Of course, Netflix has revealed there is more to come from the show with a third series based on Pe‎ña's future run-ins with the Hispanic drug cartels, but unfortunately we will have to wait a while to see it.

Meanwhile, news from Idris Elba can whet your appetite as he reveals he is planning an "African Narcos" based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which will be called Brazza. It is unconfirmed whether Elba will actually star in it as well as producing it, but the series will take a closer look at the criminal underworld of the country, as well as the driving-theme of Narcos; drug-trafficking.

Being one of Hollywood's busiest actors, last year, Elba also starred in the Netflix-produced film Beasts of no nation (pictured), which dealt with the issue of child warfare in African civil war - and was very good, albeit hard-hitting stuff. This was alongside his countless other projects including Luther, The Avengers, The Jungle Book, and voice-work for Finding Dory - his talent really does span the full circle.

No trailer yet for Brazza, just gossip, but keep an eye out, it could be great.
