Eminem (re)turns against Trump

Marshall Mathers aka Eminem has popped up on social media and reassured his fans that he is working on a new album; his first since 2013. This came alongside the release of a new song to keep his fans happy entitled Campaign Speech.

Apart from addressing multiple ongoing issues in America, his main point of focus, as the title suggests, is Donald Trump. In an angry, quasi-melody-free, 7-minute critique, he crucifies the political candidate with lines such as you should be afraid of this damn candidate and refers to him as a f***in' loose cannon who's blunt before asking the American people if this is who they really want to be elected to office. Eminem certainly hasn't gone soft on us, and ends the song by questioning himself and saying Why am I such a dick?

Yet another satire of the US politician, and this time a very brutal one, coming the morning after the final presidential debate, which concluded with a lasting bitterness between the two candidates.

On a completely different vein, for another brand-new satirical piece on Trump (a very, very different genre from Eminem's), check out American comedian Aziz Ansari's plea to the American people to vote, here: you will probably laugh out loud.

More importantly however, Eminem is back, and we can't wait to hear his new album. Hopefully he will continue to drop tracks in the coming months to give us a taste of what's to come.

Meanwhile, check out the new song here
