Ending Homelessness with Street Art
A dark, thought-provoking advert was brought out by the charity End Youth Homelessness last week to coincide with World Homeless Day, which took place on Monday 10th October.
The artistic animation uses street art as the medium and plays out the choices that many young people have to face every day; a choice between living at home and being abused or risking it out on the streets where you never know who you can trust. With a trudging, bassy soundtrack overlayed with the sounds of the streets, the graffitied protagonist jumps along words that appear on the screen and narrate the stark reality for many young people today. What results is an incredibly powerful spot that forces the viewer to realise the gravity of the situation, and the need to address it.
An unique, relevant way of publicising a very topical issue. Watch it here.
