Netflix Offline
For all Netflix addicts, huge news has hit this morning: Netflix Offline has officially been confirmed by a Netflix spokesperson. Despite claiming an offline version of Netflix would never exist in 2014, the TV-streaming giant has clearly had to change its tack in order to keep up with the likes of Amazon video by offering an offline option. Users of Amazon video (and BBC iPlayer / 4oD) will know about the option to temporarily download programmes/films whilst in wifi and to then watch them when travelling on a train/plane, even when not connected to mobile network.
Netflix users have been complaining ever since the creation of the platform that there was no offline option, but this morning's news should reassure them. What's more, it can reassure them quickly, as the spokesperson went on to claim this new feature will be available before the end of 2016. In a move that could revolutionise the brand, and potentially kill off all competition, we wait with bated breath to see how it will look.
Hurry up and update yourselves Netflix, the sooner the better.
