Review: Terra
An absolutely stunning piece of work from directors Yann Arthus-Bertrand & Michael Pitiot. In what can only be described as a visual masterpiece, this French documentary (there are subtitles so all you non-Francophones need not worry) looks at the origins of our natural world before analysing the rather terrifying impact of humans on our endangered planet.
With jaw-dropping cinematography that illustrates the aesthetic beauty of our landscape, it not only focuses on our incredible wildlife, but also presents the intricate detail of our plants and flora. Couple this with the elegant, crisp, French narration from Vanessa Paradis, and you will be seduced into a quasi-soporific state by a programme that is as beautfiul as it is thought-provoking; a film that will truly make you think.
Catch it on Netflix now (really, do it).
