Aquilo announce LP

Lancashire-based duo Aquilo have finally announced their long-awaited EP Silhouettes. Having grabbed the music world’s attention in the last few years with releases such as You There and Silhouette, with their soft, sad, atmospheric melodies, the announcement of the release of a full-length album is excellent news.

Alongside this announcement came the release of a new single Sorry, which is more superb ambiance for your ears. Aquilo are an increasingly well-known name on the indie-pop scene, recently supporting talented duo Oh Wonder at a gig in Kentish Town. Growing up as neighbours in the Lake District, Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher were initially part of rival bands before realising their mutual talents and collaborating to form Aquilo.

They are touring America in November but are bound to be back in London soon, so keep your eyes peeled as well as your ears. The new album comes out on 27^th January. For now, listen to their current stuff, it’s great.
