JK Rowling rewards young Syrian girl
With the overwhelming success so far of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, JK Rowling continues to
wow her fans with her imagination. However, it isn’t just the Harry Potter
world that makes her fans love her, it’s also her genuinely kind, friendly
personality to the people that support her.
She has shown this time and time again over the years, rewarding
and surprising unsuspecting fans with gifts and treats in her own special way
of saying thank you.
Once again JK Rowling has personally gone above and beyond
to help a fan, this time in the city of Aleppo. In the review of The White Helmets a few days ago (the
documentary on Syria), the city of Aleppo was one of the Syrian cities worst
affected by the current bombings and somewhere where this amazing group of
volunteers is most active due to the constant bombardment of the town.
A Syrian mother tweeted JK Rowling telling her how much her
daughter loves the Harry Potter films but has no access to the books. So, JK
Rowling used her influence to get the eBooks sent over to the family so that
their young daughter can fully enjoy the Harry Potter world and get stuck into
the books.
A lovely gesture from the incredible writer who brought us
Wingardium Leviosa.
