OK GO Slow-Mo

OK GO have produced a mind-blowingly clever music video using super slow motion cinematography.

The American rock band are well-known for producing unique, innovative, cool music videos since their Treadmill Dancing video for Here It Goes Again, which was an entertaining watch.

This time however, they have gone to the next level with an ingeniously-choreographed clip. It begins with a 4.2 second visual salmagundi, which is impossible to follow or understand. The viewer is then told that everything they just saw was real and that it took 4.2 seconds for it all to happen.

Right. (The song hasn’t started at this stage by the way). So, the video then tells us that this is what that first 4.2 seconds looks like in super slow motion, and as that begins, so does the song.

What’s amazing about this video is the timings; every visual effect is perfectly aligned with a certain element of the song and they mimic and complement each other beautifully. Needless to say, it is a visual delight, and you should check it out here. The song isn’t too bad either.
