Pogba; You Be You

Adidas have blasted away the competition with a bold, brazen and ballsy boot release featuring Paul Pogba.

Continuing their theme of First Never Follows, the ad again delves into the world of UK grime and hip-hop for the backing track as Pogba introduces the video showing off and teasing the viewer about how they will never be like him. However, the ad comes to an abrupt pause as the viewer snaps back saying “I don’t wanna be you”.

The ad then flies along at hair-raising speed as Pogba is told again and again that this guy doesn’t want to be anything like him; not his name on his shirt, nor his face nor his fame, he just wants his boots. A put-in-his-place Pogba smiles at the end of the spot finishing with the line “You be you”.
