RIP Peachy, Welcome Harambe

In slightly less important, yet also crucial news, Apple have released a beta update to their emoji selection. So far, only a small number of people have had access to them, and there are some pretty exciting new updates including a scary clown face, David Bowie emojis and also our old friend Harambe, which should make for some entertaining texts.

However, the shocking news is the loss (or rather updated design) of a beloved emoji: the peach, or as otherwise known; the peachy butt emoji.

No longer will your peach emoji look identical to a pair of buttocks, so its days could be numbered in all those emoji-fuelled sexting conversations. Unfortunately, it has been replaced with a much more realistic-looking peach. This is not what the public want, and I'm intrigued as to whether Apple really do think the lack of realism of the peach emoji is something that bothers emoji-users nowadays. This has been backed up by a hilarious storm in the Twittersphere, where people have been going nuts. Have a look for yourself, just type in ‘peach’ and see what you get (one example is below).
