Adidas Go Green

Being environmentally green is high on the list for a lot of brands at the moment, appealing to the ever-increasing number of people who are ecologically aware and active. So, adidas wanted to jump on the band wagon.

They have just released a limited edition trainer in collaboration with Parley, a charity aiming to stop plastic waste destroying our oceans. Don’t get excited, the 7000 pairs sold out within minutes, but they may be producing more. Made exclusively from waste plastic found in the ocean, the shoes look unbelievably stretchy and comfortable, almost like a pair of über fashionable slippers.

They didn’t stop there though. Teaming up with football juggernauts Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, adidas have produced two special edition shirts, again made exclusively from waste plastic from oceans. Both shirts look very cool and are incredibly innovative, furthermore, both will actually be worn in a professional game, a first for a project like this.

Check out the gear below; a really exciting and do-good project from the team behind so much amazing marketing.
