Lipton's Lovely Christmas

One of the sweetest Christmas ads has come from one of the most comforting beverages; a cup of tea.

Lipton have produced a short, subtle, beautiful advert about the importance of “being awake to the people that matter” this Christmas. No long, over-edited attempts to provoke a tear-jerking advert, just pure simplicity. And, it works excellently.

The protagonist is a young boy taking the school bus every morning, not exactly fitting in with the other kids but being looked after supremely by the cool bus driver.

The rest, as they say, is history, and it’s up to you to find out what happens. It only takes 60 seconds so get on with it and watch it here. It’s one of the most moving and touching ads released this Christmas, and without a doubt the simplest. Genius.
