The OA

Kidnapping seems to be the theme of the moment in the world of TV. First, we had Thirteen, then recently Channel 4 brought us The Missing and there have been plenty more along the way. And, now we have another. Boring? Nope. This one looks different, quirky, unique.

Enigmatically, Netflix haven’t even mentioned this series in recent months, keeping it totally under wraps. Usually teasering and trailering is Netflix’s way of working, but not this time. Out of nowhere the trailer dropped for The OA yesterday and, what’s even better, it comes out on Friday.

What’s the plot? Well, a blind girl goes missing and then is found a number of years later. Sounds quite standard doesn’t it. Except, when she is found, she can see.

How on earth does that work? Well, we can’t wait to find out and just as the launch of this series has been shrouded in mystery, the trailer looks dark, sinister, and perplexing. Have a look here.
