The Puncuation Police
Finally, a worthy cause. The Punctuation Police.
Two guys from Quito, Ecuador, are on a mission to correct the
grammatical horrors that are visible in the graffiti all over the city walls. Having
been appalled at the plethora of omnipresent errors in plain sight, they took
the decision to fix it up. Since its creation a couple of years ago, similar
groups have sprung up in Buenos Aires, Guayaquil, Madrid and in many other
cities around the world. These two have inspired a grammatical revolution.
Their goal is simple: “We want to make the city more pleasant,
more diverse, more interesting, more cosmopolitan. We will never surrender.”
And so, they continue to fight the good fight, eradicating
the errors on the walls of Quito. Good luck to them. Watch this space for the
Qulture faction of Acción Gramática. Feel free to
volunteer.
