A New Simba

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino aka lead writer and main character in the Award-winning series Atlanta seems to be King of the World right now. He seems to have a seemingly endless pool of talent.

And? Well, the impressive nature of the humble American continues to amaze with the most recent news that he will be playing Simba in the new adaptation of The Lion King. After the success of the recent remake of The Jungle Book, Iron Man director Jon Favreau has taken up the challenging task of recreating one of the most iconic films of all time in a similar 3D-animation-CGI style to the recent revamp of Kipling’s classic.  

With two Golden Globes to his name already in 2017 for Atlanta, the future is looking bright for Glover. No trailer for The Lion King yet but we wait with bated breath. Meanwhile, who knows what's next for the adept and brilliant artist.
