Blk Water

Unusual food trends are rife in this day and age and it's impossible to keep up. Trendsetting food bloggers are constantly using the most remarkable and extraordinary ingredients to keep it fresh, interesting and, most importantly these days, healthy.

However, one staple beverage remains and always will do, our loyal friend: water. It's been with us through thick and thin and, to put it simply, there would be no such thing as life without it. How about that for a stamp of approval.

Controversially, water better not get overconfident and take its foot off the gas quite yet as there's a new cat in town. It's called Blk Water and it's the latest phenomenon in the health world describing itself as "better than water": a farcically big claim but one that does, in actual fact, have a considerable weight of scientific evidence behind it. What's more, it's jet black, reminscent of the Charcoal Juice we reviewed back in October.

What's so good about it? Well, it's a mix of fulvic acid and pure Canadian spring water. To give you some context, fulvic acid is mined from an 80 million-year-old source and allows for the rapid absorption of over 77 different minerals, antioxidants and electrolytes. That seems like a hell of a lot of goodness in one bottle, plus, you'd look pretty goddam cool wandering around town with a jet black drink.

All sounds pretty impressive doesn't it. We have no idea what it tastes like but if you fancy trying a bottle, check out their website here. (It's a reassuringly cool site and their branding is refreshingly monochrome.)

When will these food trends end? Probably never, so get used to it, embrace it, and keep your eyes peeled for the next big thing.
