Eunoia - A Surf Film
Eunoia - defined as goodwill towards an audience... the perception that the speaker has the audience's interest at heart.
An excellent piece of lexicon and the title of an unique surf film that is currently trending on Vimeo. In the lovely piece of content, the cinematography is strange, warped and beautiful all at the same time. Opting for unusual angles instead of the typical shots found in most surf films, at times the viewer feels like he is watching the surfers through the eyes of an underwater creature as it gazes up at the silhouette of a human carving through the waves.
The result? Full immersion. You genuinely feel, even if just for a second, that you could be in the crystal clear ocean alongside the surfers themselves.
Additionally, the dark, sinister track builds to a crescendo right up until the last moment and gives the whole piece a tension and quasi-dangerous feel, as if reminding you of the power of the ocean and waves that are on show.
It's great and it's only a couple of minutes, perfect for that low-moment at work. Have a look here.
