Trailer drops for Heath Ledger documentary
Having looked at the hype around the new Heath Ledger documentary
I am: Heath Ledger a couple of weeks
ago here at Qulture, the trailer has now finally dropped.
And? It looks even more personal and emotional that we could
have imagined. Within the two-and-a-half-minute clip, we are introduced to some
of the people who will be narrating Heath’s incredible yet tragic story,
including musicians, childhood friends, family, as well as his sister Kate. With
an aptly moving song-choice as the backdrop to the trailer, it appears as
though this documentary will be truly heart-breaking, as it mourns the loss of
an immense talent and amazing personality.
His capability as an actor is illustrated, even in this
trailer, by one of the narrators who states: “Even as a supporting actor, he
will steal the whole show, that’s the power of Heath Ledger”. What’s more, the agonisingly
sad unexplored potential of Ledger as a director is underlined as another
friend explains that “he was always a director, acting was just a way to get
there”.
Check out the trailer here and keep an eye out for the
release date in the UK, it is so far unconfirmed where and when it will be
shown.
